Paper Menagerie

Fold eight paper chicks into one grand creature occupying the central 2×2 exhibit (rows 3–4, columns 3–4). Tap a creature, then an adjacent equal creature to merge into the second creature’s anchor. Shapes grow: level 1 is one cell, level 2 a horizontal domino, level 3 an L of three cells, level 4 a 2×2 square. A merge is legal only if the entire new footprint fits without walls or other creatures. Tap an adjacent empty cell to move the selected anchor one square; the whole footprint moves with it. Rotate selected turns a domino or L clockwise around its bounding box, if it fits. The two dark pillars cannot be occupied. You have twenty-six successful folds, moves or rotations. All eight units of paper are conserved; selections are free. Keyboard: Tab and Enter/Space operate buttons; R restarts.
